Fritz Floto Approves Namesake

On April 29th our States Premium Mare Haya saw her third colt born in 3 years from embryo transfer. This years foal by Furst Nymphenburg is possibly the nicest so far. A few days after his birth we had a good look at his conformation and movement and decided this was a good one. Inga had the idea of naming him “Floto”, after her good friend and mentor “Fritz Floto”….so we presented the idea to Fritz on one of his visits to the farm. We were pleased to see him quite enthused with the idea. Fritz with his critical eye could only come up with positive comments about the foal and would even ask how “that foal” was doing when seeing us off the farm. Unfortunately with the passing of Mr.Fritz Floto this past June 19th he will no longer see the development of his namesake….and worse yet we will miss Fritz’s visits to the farm, his company and his stories. Fritz Floto was a great man in the Hanoverian world and we hope Floto the Hanoverian can develop into a horse that Fritz would have continued to be proud of.
